At the Special Olympics Illinois, David White and Tony Martin, members of the WeGo Wildcats Special Olympics Club at West Chicago Community High School, did quite well in the powerlifting segment, receiving two golds and four silvers plus a couple of bests between the two.

Ben Bungo, a member of Boy Scout Troop 33, saw a definite need for the improvement and restoration of the patio area and stair sections leading to the Central Pavilion in Reed-Keppler Park. He chose this as his Eagle Scout project.

Art in the Garden, hosted by West Chicago Historical Society, People Made Visible and Gallery 200, highlights the gardens at the Kruse House Museum and the artwork of local artists.

The City Museum and West Chicago Historical Society Kruse House Museum are participants in the “Passport to Adventure” program, which is for children ages 4 through 12. More than 50 museums and nature centers in DuPage and Kane counties are in the program.
